Heating replacement - Is an air-water heat pump worth it?

This type of heat pump uses the outside air near the house as a heat source. It consists of an indoor heat pump and an outdoor unit that sucks in air and passes it through a heat exchanger (split heat pump). The heat transfer medium circulating in it then flows into the heat pump in the house. An air-water heat pump can still extract heat from the ambient air even at temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius - but its efficiency is then no longer high. Air-water heat pumps are the most common heat pumps in Switzerland. They require significantly less investment than a geothermal probe heat pump - but use more electricity to operate.
